Dr. Laura Landman bought San Anselmo Animal Hospital from Dr. Erteman in 2015, after working alongside him since 2012. Her special veterinary interests include: pet dentistry, pain management and preventive medicine. Dr. Landman is originally from the Boston area, where she attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Masters of Public Health, concurrently. After graduation, Dr. Landman served as a Captain in the US Army working with privately-owned animals as well as Military Working Dogs. Dr. Landman has worked in several small animal practices in the Northeast, including a feline-only practice, before moving to California. Dr. Landman is a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association, the Marin County Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Dental Society and the American Association of Feline Practitioners, among others.
She is an avid hiker and coffee and wine enthusiast. Dr. Landman is thrilled to be living among the best hiking in the world and has truly found her home at San Anselmo Animal Hospital. She lives in Marin with her cats and her rescue dog, Pinky.
Dr. Rebecca Baumsteiger joined the San Anselmo Animal Hospital in June of 2017 as an associate veterinarian. Her interests include surgery and preventative medicine. She is a San Anselmo native and lived in Marin until she attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo to receive a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. She then received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Graduate Business Minor from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Baumsteiger is thrilled to be back in her hometown serving her community. She an ultimate frisbee fanatic, and also enjoys martial arts, road biking, ballet, weight lifting, and of course cheering on the Buckeyes. She is extremely fortunate to have been adopted by two rescue animals: Zorra the dog and Kiki the cat..
